Election Flashback

Immediately after the election, if not during Karl Rove's now famous rant on Fox's election night coverage, it became evident that the Republican Party had made the fatal mistake of guzzling its own Kool-Aid. It's one thing to disseminate propaganda via Fox News, Rush Limbaugh's radio program and Rupert Murdoch-owned newspapers like the New York Post, but it's another thing entirely to, well, believe your own bull$#!†. But that's exactly what happened. Not only did the pro-Romney folks publicly dismiss the likes of Nate Silver and his rigorous approach to crunching pre-election day numbers, they made the fatal mistake of dismissing it privately, too.
